Private Equity and Venture Capital Club
The Tuck Private Equity and Venture Capital Club is a student-managed organization dedicated to three goals:
- Furthering the education and interest of Tuck students in the private equity and venture capital industry
- Promoting interaction, dialogue, and partnership between Tuck and the private equity and venture capital community through a range of research and education programs
- Improving the private equity and venture capital employment prospects of Tuck students
The club sponsors include CPEVC, Tuck’s PEVC faculty, and Tuck’s administration; while its activities include a range of educational, professional, and employment initiatives.
Club members actively assist in Tuck's private equity and venture capital co-curricular programming including conferences, attracting notable industry speakers to campus, and career development programs. The club also works with Tuck's Career Services Office and the Center for Private Equity and Venture Capital to enhance the private equity employment prospects of club members.
CPEVC collaborates closely with the Private Equity and Venture Capital Club in providing co-curricular opportunities for Tuck students interested in learning more about PE and VC and exploring possible career paths in these industries. Each year CPEVC and the PEVC Club present the annual Tuck Private Equity and Venture Capital Conference. The club also sponsors off-campus trips and in 2019-20 these included the Fall Term Venture Capital Career Trek to Boston, Fall Term VC & Entrepreneurship Career Trek to Pittsburgh & Columbus, and Winter Term Private Equity Trek to Boston.
Over the course of the 2020-21 year, the PEVC Club developed a more robust and useful database of Tuck alumni in private equity and venture capital to enable more targeted student outreach and better networking. They also held a buyout modeling workshop, provided internship searching tips and interview prep for first-year students, and general mentorship of first-year students interested in private equity and entrepreneurship.
